Position Summary
Supports the Head of Data Governance in controlling the data to satisfy business objectives. Must have experience working with financial systems and understand the flow of data across multiple systems. The position requires good analytical skills to understand the impact of metadata changes across the financial system environments. Requires good organizational and communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet Month End Close and project deadlines.
Responsibilities
Review, determine and approve requests for changes or creation of data (e.g. New accounts, departments or reports) from the Oracle suite of products. Submits the Data Governance Global request forms for completion once the request is determined to be appropriate
Collects, Collates and Evaluates Finance Data related issues and works through the problems of getting the data out of Oracle until the issue is resolved.
Manage Standard Finance Data business definitions for every character of data in Oracle and ensuring the architecture of the data input supports the intended use of the system.
Oversee the enterprise Finance Data quality standards including data rules associated with the data sets
Awareness, understanding and application of GRC Configuration Controls Governance (CCG) Changes to the system.
Education

College Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Experience
3 years relevant experience
Hybrid of Accounting & Financial Systems experience
Knowledge and skills(general and technical)
Knowledge of Financial System processes including GL and Sub ledgers, EPM/HFM; Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel skills; DRM experience a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
