Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care for pets in the absence of their owners - Follow detailed instructions for feeding, exercise, and medication administration - Walk dogs and engage in playtime activities to ensure their physical and mental well-being - Clean and maintain pet areas, including litter boxes, cages, and outdoor spaces - Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the owner or veterinarian - Provide basic grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming - Administer medications as instructed by the owner or veterinarian - Ensure the safety and security of the pets at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with animals, such as in a kennel, pet grooming salon, veterinary clinic, or as a pet sitter - Knowledge of pet care best practices and basic understanding of animal behavior - Ability to handle different types of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals - Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their concerns - Ability to follow instructions accurately and pay attention to detail - Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time - Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes or other designated locations Note:
