Responsibilities Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards Properly handle and maintain all equipment Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures Serve customers quickly and efficiently Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings Observe relevant health and safety standards Qualifications Any Coffee related or food service expereince Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience required Strong ability to multi-task Ability to problem solve quickly Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to follow directions Bonus-Must have a deep love and passion for quality coffee and espresso.
Must have great working knowledge of manual espresso machines, coffee brewers and manual espresso bean grinders and digital scales.
(San Remo, Fetco, Acia, Mahlkonig, Bunn) Must have understanding of brew ratios and milk textures.
Must love working in a cafe environment and be upbeat, fast paced, cheer full, neatly kept, organized and good with customers.
Must love Latte Art and be willing to continue learning new coffee related techniques, growing knowledge of different coffee regions and roasting characteristics.
Must be willing to work as part of a small team as well as independently.

Travel compensation for NYC residence employees Compensation based on experience not including additional service Tips.

cash and credit card tips daily which averages to $19 -$25 ph.
