Leading provider of lead generation, Marketing and Technology
located on the Hudson River, easily commutable from Metro NYC and NJ areas, is seeking a Media Buyer/Planner with experience in direct response marketing/lead generation to join their growing team.
Overview of the role;
The Media Buyer/Planner will prospect for new vendors, buy and negotiate price and volume, trafficking and working to optimize each account to meet the business goals and objectives.
This role will also support the financials for the channel, including forecasting, projections and month end accruals.
Media Buyer/Planner Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of display media buying across all of the properties
Run the business effectively and grow it as much as possible
Prospect for new vendors, buying/negotiating with each vendor
Set strategy for display, including social, mobile, and video, and then optimize targeting and marketing through continual marketing testing
Skills and Experience:
At least 2+ years of experience in online media buying, online pricing models, ad networks, demand side platforms, and real-time bidding
Strong problem-resolution and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal
Strong time and team management skills
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously
Working knowledge of internal reporting systems, as well as the Mediaplex ad serving system
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel to prepare analytical and P&L models
Energetic, progressive approach to the role, and a willing participant in continual process enhancement
Presents management with the recommendations for resolving key and complex issues
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Strong strategic, analytical thinker with excellent quantitative skills
Bachelors' degree mandatory, an MBA a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
