The innovation hubs teams are being created to simultaneously evaluate the business potential of 4 innovative ideas for new and disruptive solutions (2 ideas per team) that could turn into significant new businesses for Mercer. Primary team responsibilities include: market research, customer interviews, product development, strategy development, competitive/competitor research, feasibility analysis, pricing and cost analysis, pilot testing, and commercial viability. Each team will comprise of one team leader and 2-3 team members. A functional group of 2-3 people (each focused on either technology, sales/marketing or research) will support both groups. Teams will be expected to present regularly to Julio, who will be the innovation hub sponsor. The final deliverable is a recommendation in the form of a presentation to Julio and the EC about the feasibility or infeasibility of the innovative ideas, including a full business case of the viable solutions. Team members will be expected to make a minimum commitment of 1 year to the innovation hub. The first innovation hub will be run out of the New York area; all team members will be asked to relocate if they do not already live in the NY area.
The purpose of this role is to support both innovation teams by evaluating sales and marketing issues related to the innovation hub ideas and developing related strategies and solutions. . Responsibilities include customer segmentation, pricing, branding, communications, and new market identification and evaluation. This role requires creativity, knowledge of effective advertising programs and an understanding of the evolving digital and social space. Individuals in this role will be asked to:
Leverage customer data analytics to develop B-B and B-C marketing and customer relationship management strategies
Analyze and mine customer data
Develop short-term and long-term plans that ensure the adoption of identified strategies; assess implications of the plans, including the risks
Create measurement plans and determine optimal metrics
Learn and identify the customer needs and manage the sales cycle, from prospecting to selling to maintaining
On an as needed basis, become involved in helping to create and review documentation associated with the project
Present and develop presentation materials for Julio and the EC
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Required
Level F with strong performance history (4 or 5 rating)
Demonstrated knowledge / expertise in sales & marketing
7-10 years of experience
Ability to identify the customer needs and outline the sales cycle, from prospecting to selling to maintaining
Ability to draft sales proposals and to deliver professional customer presentations
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have impeccable attention to detail
Ability to structure ambiguity and think creatively
Excellent verbal and written communication ability
Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
Ability to collaborate, work as part of a team, and build credibility
Comfort working in a non-hierarchical environment
Plus: international exposure, experience in a start-up or entrepreneurial venture, passion in technology or innovations

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
